Letters from Satisfied Customers!

Danny, thanks again for showing us what Lake Nippissing has to offer.  You put us on walleyes, smallmouth bass, perch, and of course, a 51 inch muskie - all in an afternoon!  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be sure to give you a call next time we are in the area.

Danny

When we set off on that cool, rainy, windy day in search of a musky, I had a few thoughts, like I'd rather be on a couch with a warm drink but you said the conditions were perfect! No more than two minutes on the lake and I was determined to be a part of all the amazing stories I’d heard, and after seeing the photos, I wanted to get one of my own. While on the boat with 3 lines in the water, you had said to keep an eye on the rod. I thought there was no way a fish would bite on a lure just 7 feet away and an inch below the surface. Just as you (the wise man) said, I kept an eye on that rod and then I saw it, a glint of color below the surface that looked like a metal garbage can sized thing just below the surface.  Then BAM! That oh so distinct sound of the spool whining and there it was, a 50 inch musky only 7 feet in front of me! I grabbed the rod, trying not to lose my footing in the boat. I don't know how many curse words came out of my mouth due to the excitement, but the picture says it all. We did it! It certainly was a lifetime experience and we WILL  do it again!

Danny knows these fish and it shows with these results.

Best wishes

I just wanted to thank you again for the superb day of fishing you showed us Dan. It was one of the best birthday presents I've ever received! The information, techniques, & experience I gained from you will last for many birthdays to come- NOT TO MENTION THAT 50" MUSKY!! Not only was the fishing great, but you took great care of my family by being so very accommodating... We look forward to our Summer 2009 appointment with you on Nipissing...Can't wait!!

Thank you
Jim Cordingley & family August. 2008

Hi Dan,

Just thought I’d drop you a line to say hello and tell you what a great time I’ve had showing off the pictures of my musky. In fact, I’ve been rather obnoxious with the pictures. I sent them to EVERYBODY in my address book. All the guys are so jealous. They say they’ve never caught a fish anywhere near that size. I was so thrilled. I’ve been wanting to catch a musky for the past six years. Drop me a line and let us know how you’ve been. We really enjoyed meeting you. You really worked your butt off trying to get us a musky. WELL DONE!!

Hello Dan,

On all the separate occasions that we’ve gone fishing with you, we haven’t caught anything under the 30 inch mark and to me, my friend, that is an unbelievable accomplishment. But I’ll tell you that I’m not surprised. The amount of time and money you invest tp pre-scout locations for your clients and your willingness to consistently improve your techniques is something I really appreciate. As the saying goes, “third time’s the charm.” The third time with you was definitely the charm with that 53 inch, 40+lb musky! Everyone who has seen the pictures of our catches has experienced the following side effects: shock, disbelief, and jealousy. I am eternally grateful to you for allowing me to catch a fish of a life time. Please post the pictures of the fish (Rad is wearing a green shirt, holding a phat fish),so viewers can see how lucky we are as Ontarians to have such a species in our waters. I can’t wait until the next time we go fishing so you can aid me in breaking my personal record. Thank you again,

Good Morning Dan!

Thanks again for all of your assistance and the production of the fantastic photographs of my Muskie experience. The 8x10 print is now framed and has mouths dropping all over the Kitchener - Waterloo area. Although people here are finding it hard to believe that I released such a monster fish, I am absolutely thrilled that this magnificent specimen is once again lurking the depths of Lake Nipissing. Walleye Beware!!

Also Dan, without your expert knowledge of the species and Lake Nipissing, such a catch would never have been possible. All of the support and guidance that you have given Gary was a key factor in our success on October 6, 2006.

You truly are the "Muskie Man".

Regards,
Kevin Davison

Hello Danny,

Thank you again very much for your hospitality and treating us to many large fish. My father never smiles in pictures but those fish sure put one on him. He had a blast as did I. Could you please send me those pictures as soon as you can as I am leaving for school and wish to show my friends, and my parents would like to print them out as well.

Best wishes

Dear Dan,

Just a note to follow up on our amazing fishing day on Sept. 3rd, 2005. My brother and I were thrilled at the day’s events and we would all like to thank you for your greatest hospitality and for sharing your knowledge with us. We found your ability to find fish in almost any weather condition a skill rarely found. The pictures of John’s musky turned out great! I’m using it as my desk top theme. My dad’s pike picture also turned out great. Thanks for these photos! Your boat and fishing equipment were quite impressive as well. You gave my brother a thrill of a life time and my dad was glad to get out as long as he could. This day, I’m sure, he will always remember. We will be contacting you for another adventure next year. Thanks again, Dan, and have a great season.

Hi Dan,

As we are back in Germany now, I can’t stop thinking about the days that Thea and I visited you. I just can’t thank you enough for the great trip! Now, I only know that there are guides, and there is Dan, who gets your friendship and shares his knowledge about fishing, especially MUSKIES!!  When I saw that good muskie that followed my bucktail close to the boat while I was doing a figure 8 as well as I could,  he opened his large mouth, then suddenly turned away, ….I still get weak in the knees! But this is a fisheman’s life and I thank you for this experience. Of course, also for my personal best pike we got a few minutes later too! So I will definitely come back to get my muskie together with you.  Until that day, I will watch the moon and fish for beautiful German pike.

Keep the secret, hope we stay in touch, yours sincerely,

Dear Dan;

It’s hard to explain how tough it is to be sitting at my desk, in a suit, this morning.

I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality and the effort you put into creating an amazing experience for Matt and I.

As word gets out – there won’t be enough days in the season to facilitate the demand for a “Day with Dan.”

I had dreams of the one that got away and it motivated me to get back – keeping my rod tip down – and try again and again and again.

Enjoy the pictures of the fish – People around here are getting sick of them – Jealousy is such a sad emotion.

Talk to you soon,

Sincerely,
Mike

Good Evening Dan:

Just a short note to say I had a good time last week, not withstanding the severe case of muskie shoulder  I took home with me. You never really understand a muskie or a pike until you are inches away from them. Everyone I tell about you and your rig understands the type of fisherperson/guide you are. They are all very impressed.

I look forward to coming to Callander Bay in the future, but this time we will do some serious upper body conditioning before this. We pencil pushers need this.

And how, thanks again, the memories of standing in the middle of the lake in shorts and a t-shirt at sunset will carry me through till February when I can go to Jamaica

Regards,

Peter
